Jane, a patient of ours struggled with bruxism, also known as teeth grinding. Jane had always been self-conscious about her uneven, crooked teeth, and the constant grinding was making matters worse by wearing them down!

During her consultation, Jane sat down with our veneer dentist to discuss her concerns. Ty Etheridge listened carefully as Jane explained her frustration with the appearance of her teeth and the discomfort she felt on a daily basis.

After conducting a thorough evaluation of Jane's bite and jaw alignment, Ty Etheridge recommended Invisalign followed by porcelain veneers as the best solution for her needs. It would help correct her mild malocclusion and help realign the jaw. The largest issue with teeth grinding is that your teeth will grind down quicker if they are misaligned. We also were able to fix aesthetic issues such as crooked teeth, gapped teeth, and unevenly spaced teeth – all of which contributed to a misaligned bite.

Because we corrected her jaw, it relieved pressure from her jaw muscles. Jane not only had a gorgeous smile that exceeded her expectations but she was surprised to find her tension headaches "disappeared".

For serious cases of malocclusion, our veneer dentist will suggest Invisalign® before proceeding with veneers. This allows for the teeth and jaw to be properly aligned before enhancing the smile with porcelain veneers. This ensures that your veneers are protected from your other teeth when you bite down.
